Eligibility

The Indian Tourist Visa is a type of visa issued by the Government of India to foreign nationals who wish to visit India for tourism, sightseeing, recreation, or casual visits to friends or relatives. It is strictly for non-business and non-medical purposes.

Tourist visas can be obtained through Indian embassies/consulates or via the Indian e-Visa system, which simplifies the process for citizens of many countries.

Indian Visa Checklist (Bangladeshi Applicants)

  • Please make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival at the destination.
  • Your passport should have two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
  • The information you give on the form has to be identical to your passport to avoid any delay in your visa.
  • After you receive the visa in your mailbox, please check carefully the duration of stay you are allowed. It helps you avoid unexpected troubles or penalties.
  • It is advisable to bring a printout of your visa along with your valid passport upon arrival.
